The most popular activity nearby is paragliding. SkyNomad offers tandem flights, training and tours, but of course Nest.bg welcomes independent pilots, clubs and schools.

The nearby Lift Sopot offers easy access to Central Balkan National Park. Dobrila hut is 50 minutes hike from it. Daily trips to Ambaritsa (2167 m) and Kupena peaks offer spectacular views towards North and South Bulgaria. From the mountain top – Botev peak (2376 m) starts the highest Balkan waterfall – Raisko praskalo (124 m).

The 12th century Anevo fortress is about an hour hike from Nest.bg and St Spas monastery is 3 minutes walk away. The monastery meadow is a popular place for paragliding landings, evening walks and social events like St Jordan day, St Valentine day of love and wine, September motorbikes festival, competitions, music concerts.

Within 15 minutes walk, at the center of town, you can visit the Presentation of Mary monastery, the old school – Radino uchilishte, Craftsmen workshop, and Vazov house museum which are part of Sopot history and culture. There are shops and restaurants like Dobrila, Rodeo and Rooster. Sopot is also popular with its street fountains where you can drink pure spring water from the mountain.

10 km away from Sopot are Banya hot springs, 12 km further is the ancient Roman town of Hisarya, where emperors were having healing baths. Nearby is Starosel winery and tombs of Thracian kings who lived along with ancient Greeks but worshiped mostly Dionysus with its feasts and parties.
50 km away are the histotic towns of Kazanlak and Koprivshtitsa, and the city of Plovdiv – the second biggest in Bulgaria and the oldest in Europe.
